Saptak Scholars
Since 2002, the silver jubilee year of Saptak, the School has instituted a scholarship programme for a few advanced scholars who undergo a more rigorous training, and their hours of learning extend far beyond the usual sessions. Currently, there are 15 scholars learning in different areas. Saptak also provides financial support to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Hemdeep Sharma - Hemdeep Sharma plays the Jaltarang. He has been learning at Saptak since the last 6 years under the guidance of Smt.Manju Mehta. Hemdeep has performed at places like Gujrat Rajya Sangeet Natak Academy, Sur Singar Samsad Mumbai, Tansen Sangeet Samaroh Mumbai, Shashtriya Sangeet Sammelan Delhi, Ravindra Sangeet Samaroh kolkatta. Besides these, Hemdeep has also performed at various programmes organised by Saptak. Hemdeep features in the Limca Book of Records for innovating two ancient and unfamiliar classical instruments ' Nalikatarang' and 'Kachtarang' renamed as 'Hemtarang' and 'Jaytarang' respectively.
Kabirdan Gadhvi - All of 13 years, Kabirdan has an innate musical sense and is a promising talent. Learning tabla at Saptak since the last 14years, he has won first prize in Pt.Omkarnath Thakur Competition in Juniors and Seniors category both. Kabirdan has performed at programmes organized by the Gujarat Sangeet Natak Academy and at various concerts organized by Saptak School of Music.
Sapan Anjaria - Sapan Anjaria plays tabla and has been learning at Saptak under the tutelage of Pt. Nandan Mehta, Shri Rajal Shah and Smt. Hetal Mehta Joshi for past 13 years. He is graded 'B' by AIR and has also won first prize in Pt.Omkarnath Music Competition organised by the Gujarat State Sangeet Natak Academy. He stood second in national level competitions like 'All India Youth Festival' and the 'Pt Nandan Mehta Shastriya Taal Vadya Spardha'. He has also received the Pt. Nikhil Ghosh Memorial Promising Artiste Award. Sapan has performed in various concerts organized by Saptak besides this he has performed at many places in India and also in countries like Japan, Middle East, Russia and Europe. Sapan is a Mechanical Engineering graduate and has also done Masters in Performing Arts (Tabla).
Vinita Shukla - Has been learning Sitar under Smt. Manju Mehta for the last 12 years. She stood first in the Pt. Omkarnath Shastriya Spardha organized by Gujarat Rajya Sangeet Natak Academy and has also won prize in the Youth Festival organized by Gujarat University (South zone) for two consecutive years. Vinita has given several other performances organized across Gujarat. Vinita has also done Maters in Business Administration (Finance).
Tejas Soni - Tejas is a sincere and a dedicated student of Saptak, learning harmonium under the guidance of Ms. Purvi Mehta and Shri Raju Gandharva since last three years. Currently he is pursuing Bachelors in Performing Arts (Vocal). He has won prize in the Youth Festival organized by Gujarat University.
Anuj Anjaria - Plays santoor and is being trained by Smt. Manju Mehta and Ms. Purvi Mehta at Saptak since 2012. Anuj stood first in the the Pt. Omkarnath Shastriya Spardha organized by Gujarat Rajya Sangeet Natak Academy. He has also participated in several state level and national level competition like 'NAAD BHED' classical music reality show organized by SPIC MACAY. Anuj is a graduate from CEPT University.
Shreyans Shah - Has been learning tabla at Saptak since the last 14 years under the guidance of Shri Rajal Shah and Smt. Hetal Mehta Joshi. He was awarded the first prize at Pt. Omkarnath Shastriya Spardha organized by the Gujarat Rajya Sangeet Natak Academy and has also won prize in the percussion category in the Youth Festival organized by Gujarat University. Shreyans has been awarded 'Young Tabla Nawaz of Gujarat' by'..???
Dhruv Kothari - Dhruv Kothari plays tabla and has been learning at Saptak under the guidance of Pt. Nandan Mehta, Shri Rajal Shah and Smt. Hetal Mehta Joshi for past 19 years. He has won first prize in Pt.Omkarnath Thakur Competition in Juniors and Seniors category, he stood third in the 'Pt Nandan Mehta Shastriya Taal Vadya Spardha'. He has also won prize in the percussion category in the Youth Festival organized by Gujarat University. Dhruv is graduate from the renowned 'School of African and Oriental Studies', London and has finished Masters in Contemporary Studio Performance from Berklee College of Music, Valencia campus. Dhruv has performed at various concerts organized by Saptak School of Music.
Shadaj Iyer - Shadaj is a student of Hindustani Classical vocal at Saptak, learning under Haji Ustad Shaukat Hussain Khan. Shadaj competed in 'NAAD BHED' a classical music reality show organized by SPIC MACAY and was among the top five in the open category. He was also adjudged the Classical Voice of India (juniors) and Classical Voice of Gujarat at Sangeet Milon Competition held at Lucknow. Shadaj has performed at various concerts nationally besides performing across Gujarat.
Tejal Mehta - Tejal Mehta is a student of Hindustani Classical vocal at Saptak, learning under Haji Ustad Shaukat Hussain Khan since last 5 years. She has participated in various music competitions and has won prizes such as first prize in Khayal Audition round of Braja Dhuni Memorial Competition by Sangeet Milon, won the title 'State bank Classical Voice of Gujarat'. Tejal was also selected as one the best three artists in Classical Vocal category in the Youth Festival organized by Gujarat University.
